Though, it is not possible yet to assess the health of such tissue. The project will aim at integrating a liver organoid into a microfluidic organ-on-a-chip-like system. The resulting organoid-on-a-chip will be both vascularized and drained by thesystem. The integration of microsensor in the chip itself will then grant us access to the monitoring of the organoid. This monitoring will be close to what is done by physicians during clinical studies. Hence the use of the organoid on an monitored chip as a tool for the study of drug induced hepatotoxicity, at the end of the project.

This multi-expertise project is made possible by the collaboration of three laboratories. The culture of organoïds from iPSC will be done with the help of INSERM UMR-S 1193, the design and fabrication of microfluidic chips with Institut d’Alembert (ENS Paris Saclay), and all the biosensors needed for the monitoring with Chimie ParisTech

Curriculum

may 2021 – nov 2021 | Poietis | Intership, working on the bioprinter prototype of the company.
