Since 2020, he has been working on creating parallel hepatic cords-on-chip. This has been achieved by designing biomimetic micro-scaffolds capable of supporting long term cell culture. Artificial vasculature of fluid channels has been designed to provide the necessary metabolites, supply medium and extract tissue secretions. Continuous monitoring of tissue growth and the formation of hepatic polarity allows for the study of real time response of hepatic tissues to external stimuli and to study cell differentiation.

During the course of the doctoral studies, formation of the Canal of Herring within chip is to be studied closely. Additionally, the use of biomaterials and iPSc derived hepatic cells will also be explored.

Applications of his work targets drug toxicology studies during the preclinical stages and pharmacodynamics

Academic and Professional Background:

2024: Ph.D., Université Paris Saclay (Ongoing)

2021: Research Engineer, Institute D’Alembert, ENS Paris Saclay

2020: M2, Monabiphot, ENS Paris Saclay

2019: M1, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

2017: Bachelor’s degree in Physics, St. Stephens College, Delhi

Doctoral Student (2021-2024) Lumière, Matière et Interfaces (ENS Paris Saclay) Pathophysiology and therapeutics of liver diseases (Inserm U1193) EOBE Doctoral School, Université Paris Saclay 4 avenue des sciences 91190 Gif-sur-Yvette, France Room | Piece 3X27, ENS Paris Saclay Phone | Tel +33 1 81 87 52 87 Work : alan_raj_jeffrey.rajendran@ens-paris-saclay.fr Personal: alanrajjeffrey@gmail.com Main research theme: His […]

https://hebergement.universite-paris-saclay.fr/biomis_d/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=32
https://hebergement.universite-paris-saclay.fr/biomis_d/index.php?rest_route=/wp/v2/pages/32/revisions
https://hebergement.universite-paris-saclay.fr/biomis_d/index.php?rest_route=/wp/v2/pages/32/revisions/157
https://hebergement.universite-paris-saclay.fr/biomis_d/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=32
