Within the framework of the <a href=\"http:\/\/hebergement.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/upgeo\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UPGEO<\/a> research project that I lead, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) and involving eight partners (Universities, Institutions), I investigate how to optimise the use of geothermal reservoirs and how to develop new uses for sedimentary basins in the context of energy transition (geothermal energy, energy storage). I develop isotopic tool to date diagenetic process in sedimentary rock. I currently supervise 6 PhD students on these research topics. I develop an innovative pedagogical approach that combines practical training in the field together with project-based teaching, giving students the opportunity to learn about field and laboratory analysis and to use virtual geology and 3D geological modelling tools.
