About

Sedimentologist, Assistant Professor at the University Paris-Saclay, I am Director “teaching Programs” of the Graduate School Geosciences, Climate, Environment and Planetary Sciences of the University Paris-Saclay, in charge of the definition and coordination of the teaching offer. Within the framework of the UPGEO research project that I lead, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) and involving eight partners (Universities, Institutions), I investigate how to optimise the use of geothermal reservoirs and how to develop new uses for sedimentary basins in the context of energy transition (geothermal energy, energy storage). I develop isotopic tool to date diagenetic process in sedimentary rock. I currently supervise 6 PhD students on these research topics. I develop an innovative pedagogical approach that combines practical training in the field together with project-based teaching, giving students the opportunity to learn about field and laboratory analysis and to use virtual geology and 3D geological modelling tools. In particular, I organise a multidisciplinary fieldwork in Geosciences in the Morvan Massif (Burgundy, France), bringing together the main specialities of Earth Sciences (geophysics, hydrogeology, geochemistry, pedology, petrology, mineralogy and sedimentology).
